Here is something I originally designed in 1989 then later sculpted in
97. It was made with a standard water clay that was baked than cleaned
down, primed and painted in acrylic.

This is a sculpture I did of the Conquistador zombie from Lucio Fulcifs
Italian horror classic gZombi 2h. It was in fact the American movie poster
that graphically featured the iconic undead image that I so wanted to recreate.
I started out
with a foam wig stand to get the mass for my 1:1 scale horror bust. I also
built around the base of the neck with foam for balance.
Using PVA wood
glue mixed with a lot of glaze medium I coated it many times to seal and create
a tacky surface for the air-drying clay to stick to.
Once I finished
sculpting it I sealed with glue and glaze again then primed and painted it.
After painting and sealing I chopped up some sawdust to a finer grade and added
it with some miniature railroad turf to give him a caked on gritty texture.
Now finished and
on the shelf I think hefs great!!! Even though he would eat me if he could.
